Fellowship at the Table with the Lord
Jesus, through His message to the Laodicean church, awakens us to our spiritual ignorance and pride and calls us to repentance. The Lord knocks at the door of our hearts and desires to come in. This reflects His unending love and patience and requires our active decision. The Lord promises, “I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” This is not just a simple meal but signifies deep fellowship and the restoration of relationship.
To open the door of our hearts means to be zealous. Zeal comes naturally when we have genuine interest and knowledge in a particular area. Therefore, the Lord instructs us to buy refined gold, white garments, and eye salve. Doing this is repentance. Repentance means obtaining these three things, which cultivates deep interest in the world of faith and creates a longing for communion with the Lord. This results in hearing the Lord’s voice and opening the door. Now, you will experience true fellowship with the Lord, filled with joy and happiness. You will share the spiritual table with the Lord, find solutions to your problems, and enjoy the richness of eternal life.
