When I was a freshman in college, I attended a gathering at a prayer retreat located halfway up a mountain. While listening to the sermon, I suddenly felt a strong conviction that God was with me. At that time, I had been suffering from severe hives for over ten years due to an allergy that caused intense itching whenever my skin was irritated. I prayed for God to heal me. Later, to escape the heat, I went down to a stream in a mountain valley. As soon as I felt the cool water, I sensed that God had healed my allergy. Startled, I got out of the water and scratched my skin, but from that moment on, I never had hives again.
