Experiencing God’s Answer to Prayer 2

In 2018, I was in my 35th year of ministry. At the time, my wife and I lived in a one-bedroom apartment. Most pastors my age had their own homes to settle into after retirement, and their children were usually married. However, I had no house, and both of my daughters were still single. My friends were happily enjoying their grandchildren. My wife, on the other hand, blamed me, questioning if this was the result of my reverence for God, and she fell into a deep depression.

I asked her, “If God provides us with a home and our two daughters get married, will you spend the rest of your life giving thanks to Him?” She said yes. So, in October of that year, I earnestly prayed to my Lord, asking Him to reveal His living presence and goodness to my wife, so she would no longer be depressed but instead live in joy.

Amazingly, in March of the following year, God answered. The bank loan that had been denied several times was finally approved, and we were able to purchase the house we now live in. In May, our eldest daughter got married, and in December, our younger daughter also tied the knot. My wife’s face brightened, and her faith in our good and living God became unwavering. Since then, she has continued to live in gratitude and happiness.
