The Assurance of Heaven
Heaven exists, but it is not a realm that can be understood through human effort or research. Just as a cabbage caterpillar transforms into a butterfly, yet the caterpillar and butterfly live entirely different lives despite being the same creature, so too can a person of the flesh not comprehend the spiritual realm of heaven. The world we live in belongs to the physical dimension, but heaven transcends this as a spiritual realm filled with God’s sovereignty and glory. God has placed a longing for eternity in every human heart, making them ponder the life that follows death (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
